Breakfast

Today was the field trip to the pumpkin patch with my daughter's school and it was wonderful! The weather was really great and the kids were well behaved. Whew! Now I am exhausted and my throat is slightly sore from shouting to be heard above the crowds, but we all had a great time.

I wish I could just throw a frozen pizza in the oven for dinner, but I did that last night. And the night before that we went to Steak 'N' Shake for dinner where kids eat free! We did not know that until our waitress told us - it was a nice surprise. Plus we had coupons for our dinners so the bill was pretty cheap.

So, tonight we are having scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and diced potatoes. I will saute some onion to add to the potatoes and throw in some steak seasoning too. The eggs might get some fresh chopped green onion from my garden and maybe a dollop of sour cream for extra creaminess. Mmmmm, I'm getting hungry thinking about it now!

Happy eating!

  1. Breakfast for dinner sounds good! I'm cleaning out the fridge so it's leftover night at my house.

  2. The only difference in our dinner tonight and yours was that we had sausage links. I love breakfast for dinner and we have it at least once a week. My favorite is either pancakes or waffles!

  3. you are a good mom for going on field trips! I think kids always get a thrill when their moms go along (until the kids are in junior high or high school LOL). seems like a fun field trip too! I always like the times we do breakfast for dinner; a little shake up like this is good to keep people guessing what's on the menu for the rest of the week
