Meal Plans - Something New (Finally)

Boy, I sure have been a slacker about posting here lately. The problem is that I have already shared most of my recipes with you all. I am going to try to post at least one new recipe a week, but I think my days of posting every day are over.

Last week was pretty uninspired (nothing new), meal-wise. We had Italian Beef Sandwiches, Egg & Cheese Sandwiches, Black Bean Chili, Pepperoni Pan Pizza, Chicken Quesadillas, and Spaghetti. You can find any of these recipes (if you are interested) by using the search box at the very bottom of this blog.

This coming week I have a few new recipes planned - hooray! My meal plan is: Fish Sticks with Curly Fries, Chicken Kievs with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Preacher's Delight Casserole (NEW), Meatball Burgers (NEW), Taco Pasta (NEW), frozen pizza (always), and Breakfast: Eggs, Home Fries, and Sausage.

I don't know about you, but we are ready for spring around here! I am tired of scarves and mittens and snow and colds. I want spring thunderstorms and rain boots and that fresh air smell wafting through my open windows! Is it April yet?

Happy eating!

  1. that Preacher's delight casserole sounds interesting, but sadly I'm thinking on my diet plan (low carb) its not going to be possible here (yet)

do miss your posts, maybe you need to re-think your theme for your journal, just a thought (that is if you want to post on a few time a week basis)

  2. I'm taking hope in the fact that February is the last full month of winter. I sure hope March is aware that it's her job to usher us all into warmer weather and clearer skies.

  4. I'll be interested to see your new recipes. I'm always up for adding something new to our old favorites.

I've gotten away from posting every day, myself, though it's not intentional. I've just gotten busy and the day slips away from me before I get a chance to blog.

We've had a few really nice days around here this week (nice for Michigan in February, 40's and sun, you're in Illinois, you know what I mean!) and it's just making me more anxious for spring. Only 27 days left of winter!!

  5. Ooooh! I'm looking forward to hearing more about this week's meals! I finally broke from the usuals and did a couple new things this week, too - feels so good to feel like I;m actually cooking and not just going through the motions! ;)
